Red Ribbon Club
Red Ribbon club of our college works with the aim of instilling among all the students the values of service, developing healthy life styles, and increasing access to safe and adequate quantities of blood to all the needy by promoting regular voluntary blood donation. Apart from this, RRC aims at harnessing the potential of the youth by equipping them with correct information on Mental Health, Substance abuse, Nutrition and reproductive & Sexual health and building their capacities as peer educators in spreading messages on positive health behavior in an enabling environment. One of our main objectives is to reduce new occurrences of HIV infection among youth by raising their risk perception through awareness on HIV prevention methods. We also try to induce the spirit among youth to help and support people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) thereby reducing stigma and discrimination against PLHWAs. The cell motivates youth and build their capacity as peer educators and change agents by developing their skills on leadership, negotiation, and team building.

Bhoomithra Sena Club
Bhoomithra sena club of MES College is active since 2009. Beneficial seminars, classes and educational visits have been conducted since then. The student representatives of the club had successfully managed to organize educational tours and seminars on vital topics including ozon depletion, water conservation, plastic control etc. Eminent personalities like C.R Neelkanan,Dr. Joji Joseph and Karim sir had also incorporated with the club to conduct seminars and lectures. The club has also conducted debates and essay competitions. As suggested by the Government, environment awareness and pollution control are the key concerns of the Bhoomithra sena Club.

Nature Club
Nature Club was set up to create among the students the awareness about the importance of protecting our nature & environment. The club enlists student participation in maintaining a clean and healthy campus by planting more trees, holding seminars on topics related to current environmental problems and to conduct study tours to eco-tourism centers. The club, which has about 50 student members, strives to develop love of nature and adventure and to instill awareness of the environment in the college community. The recent activities of the club include planting and nurturing of about trees and medicinal plants on the campus, labeling of plants etc. The club has also arranged a nature camp and a trip to Wildlife Sanctuary and other places of interest to students.

Sensitize the students to minimize the use of plastic bags, not to throw them in public places as they choke drains and sewers, cause water logging and provide breeding ground for mosquitoes.

Organize Nature Trail in Wild Life Sanctuaries/Parks/Forest areas to know about the Bio-diversity.

Adventure Club
MES College Erumely has organized an ‘Adventure Camp’ in 2018 with the aim of building an awareness and interest on adventurous sports items amongst the students. For the development of the youth into good citizens, the youth must be exposed to, besides the Academic education, other activities particularly sporting activities including Adventure Sports. Adventure Sports today have gained worldwide recognition as an activity, which contributes most significantly to the harmonious development of young people. These Sports are not only a source of ‘thrill and joy’ to participants, but also provide a valuable opportunity for developing such traits so as to prepare them for facing challenges against all odds, confidently and efficiently. The objective of the Scheme is to create and foster amongst the students a spirit of risk-taking, cooperative team work, the capacity to face and effectively deal with challenging situations with courage and determination.

Sports Club
We have an active Sports Club which is an association of young and enthusiastic sports persons of our college, committed to multiple sports. The mission of the Sports Club is to provide a variety of leisure time sports and activities that will enhance the students’ overall college experience. Among its disciplines are Football, Volleyball, Badminton, Basketball, Cricket, Kabadi and Athletics. College Annual Sports Meet is organised every year by the college Sports Club. Our teams have been regularly participating in various inter college tournaments.

National Service Scheme
National Service Scheme is a Central Government Educational Programme started in the year 1969. It is functioning under the ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports at the national level and under the Ministry of Higher Education at the State level. MES College Erumely has a strong and efficient NSS Unit Cell with responsible volunteers and co-ordinators. The scheme aims at developing the students’ personality through community service. Our NSS unit contributes to the well functioning of not only the college and its members, but also to the neary localities offering extension programs. Various programs including cleaning, services, blood donations and awareness rallies are being conducted by the NSS volunteers. The unit has taken initiative for the programs like “Punyam Poonkavanam”, “Plastic and Pollution Free Environment”, flood relief activities etc.

Health Club
The Health Club of MES College Erumely was established on 9 October 2019. The vision of the club is to develop sensitivity among students regarding health and nutrition, awareness and maintenance of a healthy life style. Our mission is to provide the best seminars and lectures on health and health related issues and thus enable the students to attain a proper knowledge about healthy living conditions and the threats to such lively environment. The club also ensures to provide adequate knowledge about various kinds of diseases, their symptoms and precautions. Health education and awareness classes help the students to maintain a healthy life.

Tourism Club
The Bhoomithra Sena club of the College is aimed at encouraging college students to appreciate the environment and to react positively to environmental issues. The club organises Seminars, Debates, Lectures and talks on environmental issues. It also arranges visits to Wildlife Park, environmentally degrading areas etc. Other activities include cleaning and maintaining the polluted or environmentally degraded sites, planting and maintaining trees in the campus. The students also organise awareness camps to promote waste management, personal hygiene and a sustainable life style.

Anti-Narcotics Cell
MES College Erumely has a well-built and lively Anti – Narcotics cell. The goal of the cell is to contribute to a safer and healthier community through coordinated efforts to prevent use, to treat dependency, and to reduce the production and the distribution of illicit drugs. The main objective of the antidrug cell is to enhance the students’ awareness and understanding of the harmful social and health effects of illicit drug use. The Anti Narcotic Cell aims at working against the use of alcohol, tobacco and drugs by conducting seminars, poster campaigns and rallies. The extensive use of narcotics within and outside educational institutions has become a serious concern nowadays. The highly energetic youth can be guided by educating and at the same time by warning against the adverse effect of narcotics, and our anti narcotics cell is formed with this noble intention. We keep close contact with the excise and police departments and arrange programs to make the students aware of the strong legal force working against narcotics and inculcate respect towards parents, teachers and the Indian judiciary.

UGC Cell and Research Forum
The UGC Cell and Research Forum of our college are established to develop a quality system for conscious, consistent and catalytic programmed action to improve the academic and administrative functioning of the college. The cell is also responsible for promoting measures for institutional functioning towards quality enhancement through internationalization of quality culture and institutionalization of best practices. We also concentrate on improving the quality of education and skill development. The procedures related to the NAAC accreditation is also coordinated by the UGC cell. The Research Forum is to encourage the interest on research among teachers and students. We provide opportunities for students to present their research works at college or University level paper presentation. The ultimate aim of the forum is to provide opportunities for both students and teachers to publish their research papers at international journals.

Women’s Forum
Women’s Forum of MES College has been functioning to foster the talents of girl students and empower them through education. Women can excel in every field, and all they need is equal rights and freedom. The mission of the forum is to purely safeguard the rights of female students, faculties and staff members. The scheme is responsible for looking into any complaints or needs filed by students and staff about gender issues at college. We are obliged to make the female students aware about the power and strength inherent and hidden in them, so that they could be moulded to achieve thriving mile stones of success in their life. The forum builds a foundation to empower young women to attain emotional, physical and mental freedom to persevere in the face of changing phases throughout their life.
