The Department of Computer Science was established in 1995. Department offers Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) and M.Sc Computer Science. Bachelor of Computer Application was commenced in 1995 and M.Sc Computer Science was commenced in 2001.The department strives to become a center of excellence that generates knowledge through education and learning. The department also prepares the students for a globalised and technical society and orient them towards serving the society. We aim at implementing high quality training at the graduate and postgraduate level with an emphasis on basic principles of computer science thereby imparting moral and ethical values and interpersonal skills to the students.

To impart high quality training at the graduate and post graduate level with focus on basic principles of computer science. Thereby impart moral and ethical values and interpersonal skills to the students.

Objectives

To enable the students proficiency in problem solving techniques regarding computers.
To equip at least three high –level programming languages and two operating systems .
To create an in-depth knowledge in the discipline of computer science

Number of Seats

Bachelor of Computer Applications BCA (6 semesters) with an intake of 60 (Sixty) per year.
M.Sc Computer Science (4 semesters) with an intake of 25 (Twenty Five) per year.
