In the wake of rapid technological advancement, the role of library has to be redefined and remolded. MES College central library provides a variety learning environment and various knowledge resources. MES College Central library was started functioning in the year 1995 mainly to extend the library resources to the campus community. The library from its infancy has taken exclusive roles in all information initiatives. Central library is situated at the heart position of the campus which is easily reachable. It has a very rich collection of documents consisting of books, journals, periodicals, thesis, CD-ROMS, back volumes of periodicals, previous year question papers, etc. It has a modest collection of over 11,500 books and subscribes to over 16 periodicals of both English and Malayalam languages. The resources are updated continuously to cater the learning and teaching requirements of various departments.
\nBooks are classified using \u2018Dewey Decimal Classification\u2019 system and are arranged in the shelf accordingly. The library is fully automated using full featured open source KOHA Integrated Library Management Software 20.05, latest and upgraded version. The library provides its catalogue via WEBOPAC (Online Searching Facility for Students and Teachers), is accessible all over the campus. \u00a0A wide area is facilitated for reading purpose and reference area with laptop charging facility is also available.<\/p>\n
